Key Policies

Check-In Time

Regular Passengers: Must check in at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.

Cabin Passengers and Vehicles: Should check in at least 1 hour prior to departure.

During Peak Seasons or for Vehicle Bookings: It’s strongly advised to arrive earlier than the standard check-in times to accommodate possible delays.

ID Requirements

A valid government-issued ID such as SSS, PhilHealth, or Pag-IBIG is required at boarding. NSO certificates and police clearances are accepted; minors may present a birth certificate.

Baggage (Allowance, Excess, Unclaimed)

Hand-carried baggage: Limited to 20 kilograms per passenger and is at the passenger’s own risk.
Excess baggage: Baggage exceeding the allowance is considered cargo and is subject to additional charges.

Refunds and Rebooking

Refunds: FastCat may impose cancellation fees, particularly for cancellations made close to the departure time. Some tickets are non-refundable, especially those tied to a specific trip or when a passenger fails to show up. Refund processing times vary based on the original payment method; for instance, credit card refunds may take 7–15 days, while GCash refunds can be processed instantly if requested within 120 days. Refund requests must typically be submitted through FastCat’s corporate ticketing outlets or online platforms, depending on how and when the ticket was purchased.

Rebooking: FastCat permits passengers to reschedule their trips, subject to availability and possible rebooking fees. To be eligible, requests must be made at least two hours prior to the scheduled departure. However, FastCat retains the right to change the assigned vessel, so the rebooked schedule may not always match the original. It’s also important to note that tickets for passengers who do not show up for their trip cannot be rebooked or refunded.

Transferable / Non-transferable Tickets

Tickets are non-transferable.

Pets

Pets must be securely caged and are only allowed in the vessel’s baggage area during the journey. Passengers are responsible for securing the necessary permits, such as one from the Bureau of Animal Industry and possibly a Veterinary Certificate. While owners may accompany their pets in the baggage area, doing so is at their own discretion.å

Pregnancy

FastCat does not allow passengers who are seven to nine months pregnant to travel unless they can present a physician’s letter confirming they are fit to make the journey. This policy is in place to prioritize the safety and well-being of both the expectant mother and the unborn child during the sea voyage.

Sick Passengers

FastCat requires passengers with medical conditions to present a valid medical certificate confirming their fitness to travel. Those with contagious illnesses or lacking proper documentation may be denied boarding. Pregnant women must also provide a medical certificate, and boarding may be refused if they are considered unfit to travel.
