FastCat adjusts Maasin to Surigao ferry schedule due to fuel contingency plan

Ferry operator FastCat has officially announced adjustments to its operational schedule for the Maasin to Surigao route. The change, effective as of March 17, 2026, is part of a broader fuel contingency plan initiated by the company to mitigate the ongoing impacts of the international crisis in the Middle East.
Updated travel schedule
To maintain service efficiency and ensure continuous operations, FastCat has adjusted its departure and arrival times for the route as follows:
- Maasin to Surigao: Departure is set for 6:00 PM, with an arrival time of 10:00 PM.
- Surigao to Maasin: Departure is scheduled for 1:00 AM, arriving at 5:00 AM.
The company maintains that these adjustments are necessary to uphold its commitment to safe, fast, and convenient travel for its passengers during this challenging economic period.
