Island Water cancels selected March 4 Puerto Galera–Batangas trips


Operational Adjustments Affect MV Isla Simara Sailings, Evening Trip Scheduled to Resume
Island Water has issued an advisory announcing the cancellation of selected ferry trips between Puerto Galera and Batangas on March 4, 2026. According to the advisory issued by the ferry company, the selected ferry trips have been cancelled as part of the adjustments made to its operations.
The selected ferry trips cancelled by the ferry company will be those of the vessel named MV Isla Simara. The vessel usually plies the waters between Abra de Ilog and Batangas, as well as the return trip. Passengers traveling to Batangas from Mindoro have been advised to check the updated ferry schedule for the day.
According to the ferry advisory issued by the ferry company, one round of scheduled ferry trips will not be made as planned. The ferry operations will be resumed later in the evening.

- Abra de Ilog to Batangas – 12:30 PM
- Batangas to Abra de Ilog – 4:30 PM
- Resumption of Trip
- Abra de Ilog to Batangas – 8:30 PM
Island Water announced that passengers who have confirmed bookings for these canceled trips may opt to rebook their trips or claim a refund for their tickets. Rebooking can be done either at the Island Water ticketing counter or through calling their customer hotline.
Passengers who have made online bookings are encouraged to coordinate with them through their official email using their booking reference number. Passengers who have made bookings through travel agencies are encouraged to coordinate with their respective travel agencies for any request for refund and rebooking.
The ferry operator apologized for the inconvenience caused by these changes in the ferry schedule. These schedule changes may have been brought about by various considerations for the operation of these ferries.
