The Guimaras Island Transport Multipurpose Cooperative (GITMPC) has announced a temporary adjustment to the operating hours of all Jordan Ferry vessels, effective today, 30 August 2026, following prevailing weather conditions in the area.
Under the new advisory, Jordan Ferry vessels are permitted to operate only until 7:30 PM at the Jordan Wharf and until 8:00 PM at the Parola Wharf. The measure is being implemented as a precautionary step to guarantee the safety of passengers, crew members, and seacraft.
Traveler advisories and safety measures
Commuters and travelers heading between Guimaras and Iloilo are strongly advised to adjust their itineraries accordingly. GITMPC noted that sudden surges of strong winds and heavy rains at sea could trigger immediate trip suspensions without prior notice.
- Jordan Wharf last departure: 7:30 PM
- Parola Wharf last departure: 8:00 PM
- Subject to change based on real-time weather updates
For urgent inquiries and updated transit status, passengers may reach the management directly through their official hotline at 09197853001.
