Medallion Transport announces 10 percent fare hike across all passenger routes starting September 26

Commuters traveling via Medallion Transport Inc. will soon have to allocate a slightly bigger budget for their trips as the maritime operator implements a fare increase later this year.
Fuel cost adjustments drive new rates
In an official notice to the public, the management of Medallion Transport Inc. confirmed that a 10% fare adjustment will take effect across all of its passenger routes beginning on September 26, 2026.
The company stated that the upward adjustment is necessary to account for the ongoing increases in fuel costs, which have continuously impacted operational expenses within the maritime transport sector.
Cargo and vehicle rates remain untouched
While passengers will experience higher ticket prices, motorists and businesses utilizing the shipping lines can breathe a sigh of relief. According to the transport operator, the newly announced rate adjustment applies strictly to passenger fares.

- Vehicle rates: No changes
- Cargo rates: No changes
Passengers are advised to plan their travels accordingly and check with local ticketing offices for the updated route schedules and exact fare matrix prior to their departure dates.
