Ceres Bus updates Bacolod–Cebu trip schedule and fare rates

Passengers traveling from Bacolod City to Cebu City and vice versa can now take notice of the updated trip schedules and corresponding fare rates for Vallacar Transit Inc., also known as Ceres Bus. The updated schedule includes trips via Don Salvador, San Carlos City, and Toledo City, and is effective as of February 2026.

This route remains one of the most important land and sea routes connecting Negros Occidental to Cebu. Many students, employees, businessmen, and families take advantage of this route for daily transportation. With the latest update, passengers can now better plan their routes and departures according to their needs.

From Ceres South Terminal, Bacolod City:

  • First trip: 1:30 AM
  • 3:00 AM
  • 6:00 AM
  • 9:30 AM
  • 11:30 AM
  • 1:30 PM
  • 2:45 PM
  • Last trip: 11:30 PM

From SM Mabolo, Cebu City:

  • First trip: 2:00 AM
  • 4:00 AM
  • 5:00 AM
  • 7:00 AM
  • 8:30 AM
  • 9:50 AM
  • 11:30 AM
  • 1:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM
  • Last trip: 11:00 PM

The regular bus fare for the Bacolod–Cebu route is ₱480. Senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and students are entitled to a 20% discount, reducing the fare to ₱384, in accordance with government regulations.

For the barge portion operated by Lite Ferries, the following rates apply:

Standard Class (Open Air):

  • Regular: ₱240
  • Student: ₱192
  • Senior Citizen: ₱172
  • PWD: ₱172
  • Minor (3–11 years old): ₱120

Tourist Class (Lite Ferries):

  • Regular: ₱280
  • Student: ₱224
  • Senior Citizen: ₱200
  • PWD: ₱200
  • Minor (3–11 years old): ₱140

Terminal fees at San Carlos Port and Toledo Port are ₱20 each.

For passengers availing the Standard Class service through Don Salvador and Toledo, the estimated total fare from Bacolod to Cebu is ₱740 for regular passengers, inclusive of terminal and barge charges. Discounted totals are ₱596 for students and ₱576 for senior citizens.

For passengers who would like to avail the Tourist Class service, they can add ₱100 to their fare as long as they retain their barge ticket.

Passengers are also reminded that the schedules and rates of fares are subject to change without prior notice. It is best to confirm with the terminal before departure.
