FastCat has announced that it will be temporarily suspending its operations for the Dumangas – Banago (vice versa) route in order to facilitate the conduct of scheduled maintenance works. The announcement is part of the company’s efforts to ensure that it maintains the highest standards of safety and service for its riding public.
According to the announcement, all sailings between Dumangas, Iloilo and Banago, Bacolod will be cancelled from February 23 to February 25, 2026. The temporary suspension of its operations will give the company sufficient time to conduct the necessary maintenance activities aimed at ensuring that the safety and integrity of its port facilities are guaranteed.
According to FastCat, the suspension of its operations on the Dumangas – Banago route was made in line with its top priority of ensuring the safety of its riding public. FastCat believes that regular maintenance of its facilities is essential in order to avoid any unexpected problems that may result in disruptions of its smooth sailing experience for its riding public.
The Dumangas-Banago route is an important maritime route connecting Iloilo to Negros Occidental, catering to daily commuters, traveling businessmen, and freight. Due to the temporary suspension of services, passengers who have already scheduled their trips within the period of the advisory are advised to adjust their plans accordingly.
Similar to other service advisories, passengers are advised to monitor FastCat’s official announcements on the resumption of services. Those who have already confirmed their trips on the said dates can coordinate with FastCat’s ticketing offices for rebooking or other possible options.
FastCat apologized for the inconvenience that the temporary suspension of its services may cause and expressed its gratitude to its passengers for their understanding and continued support. FastCat clarified that maintenance activities are part of its proactive efforts to ensure that its vessels and ports are in their best condition at all times.
Through regular inspections and maintenance activities, FastCat remains true to its promise of providing safe, reliable, and convenient ferry services to its passengers.
The Dumangas-Banago route of FastCat is expected to resume its operations after February 25, 2026, subject to operational readiness and confirmation from FastCat.
