2GO Travel exploring new sea routes to expand cargo and passenger services

Logistics and maritime provider 2GO Group is currently assessing the feasibility of opening new shipping routes to strengthen supply chain and passenger connectivity across Mindanao, the Visayas, and Luzon.
According to a recent industry report by the Mindanao Times, the expansion study is part of 2GO’s broader strategy to capture growing regional demand. The company, which already operates a major network connecting hubs like Manila, Cebu, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro, is targeting two primary growth areas:
- Commercial Logistics: Streamlining the movement of goods for the agriculture, retail, and manufacturing sectors by shortening inter-island delivery times and expanding cargo capacities.
- Passenger Mobility: Providing highly accessible, cost-effective transport alternatives in regions where commercial air travel remains limited or prohibitively expensive.
2GO is currently evaluating regional port capacities and operational requirements. Official route additions and deployment schedules are expected to be announced upon the completion of the study.
