M/V Starlite Resilience completes maiden voyage and set to serve Western Nautical Highway

Starlite Ferries Inc. recently announced that its newly acquired vessel, M/V Starlite Resilience, has successfully completed its maiden voyage on February 8, 2026. The maiden voyage of the new vessel marked its official entry into commercial service.
After the successful maiden voyage, the ship is now ready to begin its operations on the Batangas-Romblon-Cajidiocan-Roxas (vice versa) route. This route links the major ports of Luzon and the Visayas and is an important part of passenger and cargo transportation.
The M/V Starlite Resilience is a brand-new RORO passenger ferry built in 2025 at Kegoya Docks in Japan. With a length of 67.6 meters and a width of 15 meters, the ship was built to comply with international maritime safety standards but was still capable of withstanding the Philippine sea conditions.
According to company representatives, the inclusion of the new ship helps to support the modernization of the company’s fleet. Modern ships are designed with new safety measures and better facilities, which may improve travel experiences.
The route that the ship currently services is identified as an important transport route for island communities. Ferry services on this route help to facilitate the movement of vital commodities, vehicles, and passengers between provinces.
