OceanJet Cancels Cebu–Getafe Trips on Selected March Dates


Low Tide and Negative Sea Levels Affect Docking at Getafe Port
OceanJet has announced the cancellation of some of the trips to Getafe from Cebu for the following dates: March 3 to 10, and March 18 to 25, 2026. These trips are cancelled because of very low tide and negative sea water levels. According to the advisory, the docking and undocking at the new berth of Getafe Port for their vessels are not safe.
The cancelled trips include the following:
- 5:00 PM trip from Cebu to Getafe
- 6:15 PM trip from Getafe to Cebu
Passengers who booked tickets for these trips are advised to make the necessary adjustments, they can choose to rebook their tickets or request a refund for their tickets.
According to the company, the decision was made to give priority to safety in view of the unfavorable sea conditions. The level of the tide can impact the maneuverability of the vessel, especially in approaching or departing the port facilities.
