Star Philippines Shipping Lines Inc. has issued a formal advisory regarding the temporary suspension of select ferry services between Cebu and Naval, Biliran. The company cited escalating fuel costs and supply challenges as the primary drivers behind this operational adjustment.
Affected Trips
Passengers and shippers are advised that trips scheduled for March 16 and 17, 2026, which fall on a Monday and Tuesday, have been officially cancelled. The disruption affects the M/V Gracious Star routes traveling from Cebu to Naval and from Naval to Cebu.
Adjusted Schedule
In response to the current fuel situation, the shipping line has implemented a modified sailing schedule until further notice. Operations will continue on the following adjusted timeline:
- Cebu to Naval: Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM
- Naval to Cebu: Thursdays and Sundays at 8:00 PM
Management noted that these measures are essential to ensure the continued and reliable operation of their vessels. Normal sailing operations are expected to resume once the local fuel supply situation stabilizes.
