Effective today, April 8, through April 30, 2026, Island Water (operated by Shogun Ships) is expanding its services with a new, direct fast craft route connecting Batangas Port to Pola, Oriental Mindoro.
This route marks the first time in over 20 years that a commercial passenger vessel has operated out of Pola Port. By serving as a new southern gateway, this route allows passengers heading to the 2nd District of Oriental Mindoro to completely bypass the heavily congested Calapan Port, saving them from the additional two-hour land commute.
Sailing Schedule (April 8 – 30)
The estimated travel time across the Verde Island Passage is approximately 3 to 3.5 hours, depending on prevailing sea conditions.
- Batangas Port to Pola
- Departure Time: 7:00 AM
- Operating Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays
- Pola to Batangas Port
- Departure Time: 8:00 AM
- Operating Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays

- Resident Rate: ₱1,000 (Must present a valid Mindoro ID)
- Non-Resident/Regular Rate: ₱1,750
- Student Rate: ₱1,400
- Senior Citizen / PWD: ₱1,250

Passenger Guidelines & Boarding Protocol
- Advance Booking: Because the vessel capacity is strictly limited to under 100 passengers per trip, walk-in ticketing is highly discouraged during the peak summer and Holy Week season.
- Terminal Arrival: Passengers must arrive at the Batangas Port passenger terminal at least 45 minutes prior to the 7:00 AM departure to clear ticketing verification and pay the required terminal fees.
- Service Interruptions: Operations are highly dependent on coastal weather. Please monitor official Island Water communication channels prior to your travel date for any sudden maritime suspensions.
