Island Water cancels Batangas to Abra de Ilog ferry trips for preventive maintenance

MANILA, Philippines — Island Water announced the cancellation of several ferry trips plying the Batangas to Abra de Ilog route and vice versa for September 2 and 3, 2026, to give way to mandatory preventive maintenance operations.
Affected voyages
According to the advisory issued by Shogun Ships Co., Inc., operating under the Island Water brand, the following trips of the MV Isla Simara are suspended:
- September 2, 2026: Batangas Port at 04:30 PM and Abra de Ilog Port at 08:30 PM
- September 3, 2026: Batangas Port at 12:30 AM and 04:30 PM; Abra de Ilog Port at 04:45 AM and 08:30 PM
Rebooking and refund guidelines
Passengers holding confirmed tickets for the affected schedules are advised that they are entitled to a full refund or may opt to rebook their travel to the next available schedule.
For walk-in passengers, rebooking can be processed by visiting the Island Water ticketing counter or by reaching out to the customer service hotline at 09478912988.
Travelers who secured their tickets online are instructed to send an email to [email protected] along with their booking reference number. Meanwhile, passengers who purchased tickets through third-party agents must course their refund and rebooking requests directly through their respective agents.
Island Water management issued an apology for the temporary disruption in operations and appealed for the public’s understanding and cooperation as they conduct necessary safety maintenance checks.
