Travelers navigating the central and northern Mindanao maritime corridors can now take advantage of a newly launched travel incentive. Lite Shipping Corporation has officially rolled out its “Libre Balik Promo,” offering complimentary return tickets for passengers commuting between Cebu and Cagayan de Oro.
Announced to run from August 21 to October 31, 2026, the initiative aims to boost domestic tourism and ease the financial burden of inter-island travel for commuters between the Visayas and Mindanao hubs.
Promo mechanics and coverage
Under the mechanics released by Lite Ferries, passengers who purchase a full-fare one-way ticket for the Cebu-Cagayan de Oro v.v. route during the promotional period will receive a free return trip. The complimentary ticket applies strictly to the exact same route, vessel class, and passenger name.
Travelers should note that the promotion covers 100 percent of the return base passage fare. However, auxiliary fees such as terminal fees, Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) charges, and applicable surcharges remain the responsibility of the passenger.
Important booking and redemption guidelines
To successfully claim and utilize the free return trip, passengers must adhere to specific operational guidelines set by the shipping line:
- The free return ticket must be claimed and booked within thirty (30) days from the date of the initial journey’s departure.
- Bookings are subject to vessel capacity and block-out dates, which cover peak holiday periods including Undas, Christmas, and New Year.
- The offer cannot be combined with existing institutional discounts—such as those for Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and Students—or other active route promotions.
- Free return tickets are strictly non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be converted into cash or store credit.
- Crucial notice: This promotion is not valid for online bookings or digital transactions. Tickets must be processed physically.

Interested passengers must visit their nearest Lite Ferries ticketing office to book their trips, as online channels do not support this specific promo. For inquiries and further assistance, travelers may contact the operator through their dedicated trunklines and mobile numbers:
