In a major development for regional maritime travel, Lite Shipping Corporation, operating under the brand Lite Ferries, has officially launched its “Libre Balik Promo” for the Cebu to Cagayan de Oro route and vice-versa.
The promotion, designed to provide significant savings for travelers between Central Visayas and Northern Mindanao, offers a free return trip to passengers who book a full-fare one-way journey during the designated period.
Promo period and coverage
The “Libre Balik” offer is available for voyages scheduled between August 21 and October 31, 2026. This promotion is strictly valid for the Cebu ↔ Cagayan de Oro maritime route operated by Lite Ferries.
Essential promo mechanics
To qualify for the incentive, passengers must follow specific guidelines issued by the travel operator:
- Standard Eligibility: The offer is open to all passengers who purchase a full-fare one-way ticket during the promotional window.
- Return Trip Conditions: The free return ticket is applicable for the exact same route, vessel class, and passenger name as the original booking.
- Fare Coverage: The promo covers 100% of the return base passage fare. However, passengers are required to pay terminal fees, PPA charges, and other applicable surcharges.
- Redemption: The free return ticket must be claimed and booked within thirty (30) days from the departure date of the initial journey.
Important terms and exclusions
Travelers should note that the free return ticket is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be converted into cash. Lite Ferries has also specified that this offer cannot be combined with other institutional discounts, such as those for Senior Citizens, PWDs, and Students.
Furthermore, bookings are subject to vessel capacity and specific block-out dates, including the Undas, Christmas, and New Year holiday periods. Passengers are encouraged to secure their slots early by booking online through the official portal at www.liteshipping.barkota.com.
