OceanJet announces trip cancellations for Cebu-Getafe route in July 2026

Fast craft operator OceanJet has issued a travel advisory announcing the cancellation of specific evening trips between Cebu and Getafe, Bohol, for several dates in July 2026. The suspension is a precautionary measure due to environmental conditions affecting port safety.
Affected Schedules and Dates
The cancellations will be implemented across two separate periods in July. Passengers booked on the following daily schedules will be affected:
- Cebu to Getafe: 5:00 PM
- Getafe to Cebu: 6:45 PM
These specific trips are cancelled on the following dates:
- July 1 to July 5, 2026
- July 11 to July 20, 2026
Reason for Cancellation
According to the management of OceanJet, the decision stems from very low tide and negative sea water levels recorded at the Getafe Port. These conditions make docking and undocking operations at the port’s new berth unsafe for the vessel and its passengers.

OceanJet has extended an apology for the inconvenience caused by these weather-dependent disruptions. Affected travelers are advised of the following options:
