OceanJet cancels Maasin-Surigao trips for August 18-19 due to rough seas

Fast craft operator OceanJet has issued a travel advisory announcing the cancellation of scheduled trips between Maasin and Surigao on August 18 and 19, 2026. The decision comes after reports of very rough sea conditions that pose risks to maritime travel.
Affected Schedules
The following specific departures have been cancelled for both dates:
- Maasin to Surigao: 10:30 AM
- Surigao to Maasin: 1:00 PM
Passenger Assistance and Options
In light of these cancellations, OceanJet has announced that all affected passengers are eligible for the following options:
- Full Refund: Passengers may claim the total cost of their tickets without any deductions.
- Free Rescheduling: Rebooking to a later date is available with no additional service charges.
To process these requests, passengers are advised to visit the nearest OceanJet ticketing office for immediate assistance.
