ZAMBOANGA CITY — Maritime connectivity in the Zamboanga Peninsula and the Bangsamoro region has received a significant boost as Aleson Shipping Lines, Inc. officially resumed its daily passenger and cargo ferry operations on August 14, 2026. The service reconnects Zamboanga City with the key destinations of Isabela City and Lamitan City in Basilan.
Now operating under new ship management by OSM Shipping Phils., Inc., the resumption re-establishes vital maritime links across the Basilan Strait. The return of these consistent daily trips is expected to provide essential support for local commuters, traders, and travelers moving between the Mindanao mainland and the island province.
