Island Water cancels Batangas-Abra de Ilog ferry trips for maintenance on April 3

Ferry operator Island Water has issued a travel advisory announcing the cancellation of its scheduled round-trip voyages between Batangas and Abra de Ilog on April 3, 2026. The suspension of service is attributed to essential preventive maintenance for the vessel MV Isla Simara.
The company stated that the maintenance is a necessary measure to ensure the safety and efficiency of their maritime operations. Passengers are encouraged to check the specific departure times affected by this advisory.
Cancelled Schedules
The following trips for April 3 have been officially pulled from the schedule:
- Abra de Ilog to Batangas: 04:45 AM
- Batangas to Abra de Ilog: 04:30 PM
Refund and Rebooking Procedures
Island Water has confirmed that all affected passengers are entitled to either a full refund or a rebooking to the next available trip. The shipping line has outlined the following steps for those with confirmed bookings:
- On-site Rebooking: Passengers may proceed to the Island Water ticketing counter to secure a seat on the next available voyage.
- Customer Service: For rebooking inquiries, travelers may contact the customer service hotline at 09478912988.
- Online Bookings: Passengers who booked via the official website should email [email protected] with their booking reference number to facilitate their request.
- Third-Party Agents: Those who purchased tickets through travel agents are advised to contact their respective agents directly to initiate the refund process.
The management of Island Water apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding as they conduct necessary technical upgrades to their fleet.
