Montenegro Shipping Lines suspends Batangas routes due to Super Typhoon Inday

Montenegro Shipping Lines, Inc. has officially announced the suspension of several major sea routes originating from Batangas as Super Typhoon Inday continues to affect maritime conditions. The shipping operator issued the travel advisory to prioritize the safety of passengers and crew members amid the deteriorating weather.
Cancellations starting July 8, 2026
Operations for the following routes are suspended effective tonight, July 8, 2026:
- Batangas City – Calapan City and vice versa
- Batangas City – Abra de Ilog and vice versa
Cancellations starting July 9, 2026
Additional suspensions will take effect tomorrow, July 9, 2026, for the following destinations:
- Batangas City – Puerto Galera and vice versa
- Batangas City – Odiongan and vice versa
- Mabini, Batangas – Tingloy Island and vice versa
Guidance for affected travelers
The shipping company strongly advises all affected passengers to postpone their travel plans and avoid heading to the ports until the weather clears. Management has stated that they will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates regarding the resumption of trips through their official channels.
Passengers are encouraged to stay safe and coordinate with the shipping operator for further inquiries regarding ticket revalidation or refunds.
