OceanJet announces Cebu-Getafe trip cancellations due to low tide in June 2026

Fast craft operator OceanJet has issued a travel advisory for passengers traveling between Cebu and Bohol, announcing the cancellation of specific trip schedules in June 2026 due to technical safety concerns regarding sea levels.
The ferry company stated that the cancellations are a result of “very low tide and negative sea water levels,” which render docking and undocking operations unsafe at the new berth of Getafe Port. The suspension of service is intended to ensure the safety of the vessel and its passengers during these environmental windows.
Affected dates and schedules
The service disruptions will occur during two periods: June 12 to 20 and June 26 to 30, 2026. The following daily schedules are affected:
- Cebu to Getafe: 5:00 PM
- Getafe to Cebu: 6:45 PM
Refund and rebooking procedures
In light of these cancellations, OceanJet has advised affected travelers to facilitate their ticket adjustments through official channels. Passengers have the option to either rebook their trips for a later date or apply for a full refund.
Transactions can be processed at any OceanJet ticketing office or through the company’s official website via the oceanjet.net/manage-booking portal.
