2GO Travel introduces onboard WiFi on selected vessels powered by Starlink

Travelers who use 2GO Travel services can now enjoy staying connected while at sea as the company rolls out its new WiFi connectivity service on some of its vessels. This new connectivity service will enable travelers to access the internet while on their voyage, thus staying connected while on their way to their destinations.

The new WiFi connectivity service offered by 2GO Travel uses Starlink, a technology that provides internet connectivity to areas that are hard to reach with other technologies that provide faster internet speeds. Using this technology, travelers can access the internet while on their way to their destinations, as the internet can reach them while at sea.

The introduction of this new service will enable travelers to access the internet while on their way to their destinations, as this will enable them to send messages or even update their status on their various social media accounts while on their way to their destinations.

WiFi access is currently available on selected vessels operating under the 2GO fleet. These ships include the following:

• MV Saint Francis Xavier
• MV Saint Michael the Archangel
• MV 2GO Masinag
• MV 2GO Masagana
• MV 2GO Maligaya

Passengers who want to use the service can purchase internet data packages onboard. Data packages available for use are 1GB and 2GB WiFi packages, available for purchase through ShipMart, an onboard store available onboard our participating vessels.

The WiFi service onboard allows passengers to use and connect their personal smartphones, tablets, and laptops during travel. Once connected, they can use the internet according to the internet package they have purchased.

This is one of the emerging trends in the maritime transport industry, where ferry operators are slowly adopting digital technologies for passenger convenience. Internet use during travel is becoming more important for passengers who need to stay connected with family, work, and social networks.
