OceanJet announces multiple trip cancellations on February 7 due to tropical storm “Basyang”


OceanJet has issued an advisory informing passengers of continued trip cancellations on Saturday, February 7, 2026, as the company’s vessels undergo repositioning after taking shelter from the effects of Tropical Storm Basyang. The fastcraft operator emphasized that safety remains its top priority, especially while weather conditions in affected areas continue to stabilize.
Cancelled Tagbilaran–Cebu trips:
- 6:00 a.m.
- 7:05 a.m.
- 10:00 a.m.
- 10:40 a.m.
Cancelled other Cebu-bound services:
- 6:00 a.m. Ormoc–Cebu
- 6:30 a.m. Getafe–Cebu
Siquijor, Dumaguete, and Tagbilaran routes affected:
- 5:00 a.m. Siquijor–Dumaguete
- 6:00 a.m. Siquijor–Dumaguete
- 6:20 a.m. Dumaguete–Siquijor
- 7:20 a.m. Dumaguete–Siquijor
- 7:20 a.m. Siquijor–Tagbilaran
- 8:20 a.m. Siquijor–Tagbilaran
Additional cancellation:
- 5:45 a.m. Bacolod–Iloilo
OceanJet apologized for the inconvenience caused by these disruptions, noting that passengers have the option to rebook or request a refund through any OceanJet ticketing office or via the online portal at oceanjet.net/manage-booking.
