OceanJet cancels Maasin, Surigao, and Cebu trips through August 8 due to Tropical Depression Luis

Fast craft operator OceanJet has issued a travel advisory announcing the cancellation of several trips across its Maasin, Surigao, and Cebu routes. The service disruptions, which began on August 3, 2026, are attributed to localized berthing difficulties and the worsening weather conditions brought by Tropical Depression Luis.
Immediate disruptions: August 3, 2026
Due to berthing challenges at the port, the following schedules for today have been cancelled:
- Maasin to Surigao: 10:30 AM
- Surigao to Maasin: 1:00 PM
Operations are tentatively scheduled to resume with the Maasin to Cebu trip at 3:30 PM today, pending safe conditions.
Extended cancellations due to Tropical Depression Luis
In anticipation of rough sea conditions caused by Tropical Depression Luis, OceanJet has proactively suspended all trips on the following routes from August 4 to August 8, 2026:
