Fast craft operator OceanJet has issued a travel advisory regarding the suspension of specific trip schedules between Cebu and Getafe, Bohol, for several dates in August 2026. The company cited safety concerns at the new berth of Getafe Port as the primary reason for the service disruption.
According to the advisory, very low tide and negative sea water levels have made docking and undocking operations hazardous for vessels. To ensure the safety of both passengers and crew, the following schedules are officially cancelled:
Affected Schedules
- Cebu – Getafe: 5:00 PM
- Getafe – Cebu: 6:45 PM
Coverage Dates
The service suspension will be in effect during the following periods:
- August 1–3, 2026
- August 8–17, 2026
OceanJet has extended an apology for any inconvenience caused by these unavoidable cancellations. Passengers with tickets for the affected dates are encouraged to rebook or apply for a refund. These transactions can be handled through any OceanJet ticketing office or via the “Manage Booking” section on their official website at oceanjet.net.
For further clarifications and real-time updates, travelers may contact the operator at (032) 255 7560 or reach out through their official Facebook page at facebook.com/oceanjet.
