VS Grand Ferries, the operator of SeaCat, has announced an upcoming fare adjustment for several of its major routes connecting Cebu, Leyte, and Samar. The updated rates are scheduled to take effect on July 26, 2026.
According to the maritime transport provider, the price adjustment is driven by the continuous increase in fuel costs affecting the local shipping industry. The company emphasized that the decision is necessary to sustain the safety, reliability, and overall quality of its passenger services.
Updated Passenger Fares
| Route (Vice Versa) | New Fare |
|---|---|
| Cebu ⇄ Calbayog (via Naval) | ₱2,760.00 |

| Naval ⇄ Calbayog | ₱880.00 |
| Cebu ⇄ Baybay | ₱1,200.00 |
| Cebu ⇄ Hilongos | ₱1,100.00 |
Despite the fare hikes, SeaCat confirmed that mandated discounts for Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and students will remain active and honored across all routes, in accordance with Philippine laws.
