Trans-Asia Shipping Lines announces new rebooking and refund policy starting June 2026

Sea travelers are advised to take note of updated ticket protocols as Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. announces a new set of guidelines for rebooking and refund requests. The revised policy is scheduled to take effect on June 28, 2026, aimed at streamlining operations and passenger management.
Strict 30-minute cutoff
Under the new advisory, all requests for rescheduling (rebooking) or refunds must be finalized no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. The shipping line emphasized that these transactions will be subject to applicable graduated surcharges based on the timing of the request.
Passengers who fail to meet this deadline—specifically those filing requests less than 30 minutes before departure or after the vessel has sailed—will be classified as “No Shows.” In such instances, the ticket will be automatically voided and rendered non-refundable.
Where to process transactions
The processing location for these requests depends on the original mode of purchase:
- Main or Provincial Office Tickets: May be processed at any Trans-Asia Main or Provincial branch.
- Ticketing Outlet Purchases: Must be handled at the original outlet of purchase or any Trans-Asia Main or Provincial Office.
- Chelsea Travel (E-Tickets/PDF): Passengers may utilize the “Manage Booking” feature on chelseatravel.ph or visit a physical Trans-Asia office.
Documentary requirements
To ensure a smooth transaction, passengers are required to present the following documents:
- The original Ticket or Passage Invoice.
- A valid government-issued ID.
For those processing on behalf of the ticket owner, additional requirements include an Authorization Letter, a photocopy of the ticket owner’s valid government ID, and a photocopy of the authorized representative’s valid government ID.
For further inquiries, passengers may contact Trans-Asia Shipping Lines at (032) 254 6491 or visit their official booking portal.
