Starlite Ferries Inc. has released a comprehensive guide for passengers planning to travel with their vehicles during the upcoming Holy Week. To ensure a smooth boarding process and avoid delays during the peak travel season, the ferry operator is reminding the public to prepare all necessary permits and documents for rolling cargo.

Essential documentation for vehicle transport

Travelers are advised to have the following documents ready for inspection at the port:

  • Official Receipt (OR) and Certificate of Registration (CR).
  • Sales Invoice (specifically for newly purchased or brand-new vehicles).
  • Notarized Deed of Sale (required for second-hand or pre-owned vehicles).
  • Certification of Ownership (issued by the dealership or “Casa”).
  • Authorization Letter from the owner (if the transport is being processed by a representative).
  • Photocopy of the Owner’s Driver’s License or any valid government-issued ID.

Restriction on electric and hybrid vehicles

In a significant advisory, Starlite Ferries has clarified that they do NOT accept electric or hybrid vehicles for transport at this time. This policy applies to all routes and vessel types. Standard internal combustion engine vehicles, including trucks, sedans, motorcycles, and bicycles, remain eligible for boarding provided they meet the documentation requirements.
