Starlite Ferries suspends Cebu-Surigao operations due to Typhoon Inday

Maritime travel between Cebu and Surigao has been temporarily halted as Typhoon Inday prompts safety concerns. In an advisory released by Starlite Ferries Inc., the shipping company confirmed that all scheduled trips for Thursday, July 9, 2026, have been cancelled.
Details of Cancelled Trips
The suspension affects both morning and evening departures for the following routes:
- Cebu to Surigao: 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM
- Surigao to Cebu: 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM
Starlite Ferries emphasized that these cancellations are effective until a further advisory is issued. Passengers are advised to refrain from traveling to the port and to wait for weather conditions to improve and for the official resumption of operations.
